Portland Coordinated

Care Association

The Portland Coordinated Care Association is a network of independent medical groups in Portland that pool resources to help lower costs, improve quality outcomes and perfect the patient experience. The PCCA exists to meet the needs of the changing healthcare market. Our network of providers is also a cost-effective option for self-funded employer groups and includes an extensive list of specialty care providers in the Portland area.

Who We Are

PCCA is a clinically integrated network (CIN). Clinical integration is a process through which independent health care providers work together to improve patient care and reduce costs. As a collective, PCCA members develop and implement clinical protocols and monitor clinical performance. This helps achieve high-quality care in a more efficient manner than can be achieved independently.

PCCA is governed jointly by three independent primary care groups in Portland: Northwest Primary Care, South Tabor Family Physicians, and The Portland Clinic. Each of these groups have physician representation on the Board of Directors.

Why Clinical Integration?

Becoming a member of a Clinically Integrated Network like PCCA positions physicians and payors to work together to improve population health. Members focus on clinical quality and cost-effectiveness rather than fee-for-service discounts. This allows PCCA members to engage in value-based contracting with payors and employers. All members of PCCA work to obtain collective support to demonstrate the value we, as a group, provide to patients and health plans.
